Besides having mega cool names, Gibson & Spain have the coolest love story.  In short, he asked her on a date, and instead of saying yes, she invited him to church.  This month they got married, and next month they’re going on a mission trip together to El Salvador.  You can hear more about their story here.

The wedding & reception were at The Boxwood Inn in Newport News.  It’s the kind of place that is simple yet elegant, and makes everyone feel like a part of the family by the end of the day.  When we sat down to plan out the day, Spain told me that she wasn’t the girly girl type when it came to planning a wedding, and that she does not want to go into the delicate details of wedding dresses and dresses for flower girls. But her friends were keeping her on track.  I’d say!  All the details were just amazing.  We also found out that we went to the same college– Western Carolina University!

The grooms son, and my sidekick for the day!  The mother of the bride grabbed the groom for a special dance.  The DJ played “Mother-in-Law.”  I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this song!  We were all laughing pretty hard!
