We like living life to the fullest
Brittany + Chris are real sweethearts. Seriously. When your friends give a toast and they have the chance to embarrass the heck out of you, but instead they tell everyone how sweet and kind hearted you are? Yep– that’s exactly what happened at Brittany + Chris’ wedding. She’s a nurse and despite working late hours, Chris always waits for her to get home before eating dinner. And he makes dinner! How sweet is that?
And they played the shoe game at their reception. I hadn’t seen the shoe game in a long time, but have seen it three times in October! I love the shoe game. They sit back to back and each hold one of their own shoes and one of the other persons shoe, and as the DJ asks questions, they hold up the shoe of the person who did it. So when the DJ asks “Who made the first move?” and other questions, it can get a bit dicey! But mostly it’s completely adorable.
This was also our first experience at The Obici House! Everything was planned for outdoors, but hurricane weather pushed everything indoors and made it perhaps a bit cozy during the ceremony (many thanks to the guest who all but let me sit in his lap to take photos!). The staff moved quickly and kept everything running smoothly the whole time! And the rustic charm of the flowers, the mint bridesmaid dresses, and the succulents in the brides bouquet– oh my goodness I’m just in love with every bit of it! Brittany, you totally nailed every detail!
