Amy + Alex hit the jackpot when it comes to weather forecasts for the perfect fall wedding! The air was crisp but not cold, and the leaves were casually floating to the ground while we were taking portraits. I was pretty much in heaven. The deep purple bridesmaids dresses looked absolutely stunning paired with all their gorgeous hair colors. Hair and make-up were both on point, and the flowers… oh my goodness the flowers! The bouquets were arranged by Amy’s neighbor who promises she’s not a florist, but I’m not sure I believe her. They were stellar!

Their love story though is just awesome. He was her first boyfriend and she was his first real girlfriend. Very quickly he realized she could be ‘the one!’ Their friends and family worked like mad to put this wedding day together and there were a ton of DIY elements! Amy even made her own wedding cake, which is the second time I’ve ever seen that… EVER!

Also? Ponyo made an appearance on her bouquet with a gorgeous felted pin. Who is Ponyo? Only the cutest guinea pig around! Ponyo has quite the following on instagram over at @ponyopigletofthesea where Amy photographs or films her little buddies snacking or looking suave. I’m not normally the one to follow an animal on instagram but Ponyo has my heart with those cute little nibbles!
