You may remember a couple of months ago that the Hampton Roads area of Virginia was supposed to get hammered with one of the nastiest hurricanes since Isabel in 2003. We narrowly dodged a bullet, but not before getting some crazy weather and a little bit of flooding. So what does this have to do with Fowler Studios? Well, it just so happened that we had 3 weddings that weekend. They’ve been planning this day for a LONG time, and no hurricane big or small is going to get in anyones way, am I right? And so it was the case with Sean and Cameron.

Before I go much further, I feel the need to brag on this amazing couple for a second. In the midst of the craziness of seemingly an impending storm, Sean and Cameron kept their cool like champs. Weather was absolutely no concern to them whatsoever (or if it was, I definitely couldn’t tell). Their focus was on each other, their love, and enjoying the day with family and friends.

So, interesting story here… we didn’t actually know we were going to be filming Sean & Cameron’s wedding until, get this… that same day! Yes, you read that right. In the midst of the conversation about who was going to make it to the nuptials, and who would have to miss the event because of the weather, it was mentioned that any guests who wouldn’t be able to come could simply watch the video. That was, until the happy couple informed those interested in watching that there wasn’t a wedding video. Much to the surprise of those in the conversation, the couple hadn’t booked a company to film the day! You see, Sean and Cameron really wanted a video and had even talked with some companies about doing a wedding film. After a lot of conversation, they eventually decided to just go with photo, and that was that. But a sweet family member inquired if it were still possible to book someone. At this point, they did the smart (and the easiest) thing they could have done, and let their wedding planner run with it. Who was the planner? Well the amazing Antonia Christianson, of Antonia Christianson Events of course! When it comes to putting on anything from a killer party to the most extravagant wedding you can think of, A.C.E. is the go-to team!

Antonia reached out to us about 10:00 AM on the morning of October the 8th asking if our team was available to film the big day. We were, and within two and a half hours, we sprung into action to capture what genuinely is one of the coolest weddings we’ve ever done. I don’t want to spoil the story for you, but this couple may very well be the reason we missed the hurricane. You’re probably wondering what I’m talking about. Curious? Watch the video, and share!
