Dreamy Snow Pictures with Molly + Eddie | Maternity | Hampton Roads, Virginia

Maternity pictures in the snow? Yes, please! It’s always a little tricky to schedule though, since we don’t get a ton of snow in Virginia. And when we do get it, it melts away in a few days. Can I just say that we hit it really lucky this year? We hoped to do pictures on Saturday but it snowed all day and the roads were just too bad to risk it. Also, it’s hard to take pictures when it’s actually snowing. I like to have some snow falling in the pictures, but at the same time, I love a good clear shot of their faces without snow blowing through the foreground. But by Sunday afternoon the main roads had been scraped several times and it was safe enough to get down the street to our friend’s wooded backyard for these magical shots. Molly had already gathered all the items (like that killer dress and fur coat!), made her own flower crown, and her and Eddie were total troopers hanging out in the snow for a full session! I think the end result was well worth it!

And a few behind the scenes– Eddie trying to stay warm with a scarf.  And Larry was our expert snow thrower and fur coat holder!  What a guy.
