1985. That’s the year Patti + David went on their first date! Yes, these two dated in college, but ended up parting ways when they realized that living on different coasts was just too much. They each got married, had kids, and went through some really hard times, eventually divorcing. They had completely lost touch until 2012 when Patti called him up. She left a message, he called back within 5 minutes, and so began the second chapter of their love story. Finally, on May 13 (Patti’s parents anniversary), they said their vows to each other on the front steps of The Hornsby House Inn. You can read their full story here.
The Hornsby House was a natural choice for their wedding since David (and now Patti) are part of the Hornsby family! They said ‘I do’ with on the front lawn and can’t wait to add their picture to the other family weddings that have taken place at the house. Patti surprised David with a horse drawn carriage from Smithfield Horse and Carriage, and they rocked the night away in a huge tent in the backyard with the band The Janitors! They also had some of the best catering ever– Cater 2 Events! This is the third wedding I’ve done with these caterers and they are absolutely genius. Instead of a long buffet line, they have several stations set up on the perimeter of the reception, each station with its own cook. You walk around, taste all the choices, and there is something for every taste! The best part? There isn’t much of a line, because everyone is mingling and moving around the whole place!
