Rachel + Tim’s Wedding | The Boathouse at Sunday Park, Midlothian

Rachel + Tim are this quiet, reserved couple when you first meet them, and then you quickly realize that they are quick-witted and love to joke with each other.  And they absolutely, 110% adore their dog, Coco.  And according to Tim, Coco is the whole reason for the wedding (he’s kidding, of course… just look at the way he looks at Rachel!).  While they were dating, they both wanted a dog, but Rachel wouldn’t allow it until Tim had put a ring on her finger!  I love it.  They both knew each other were ‘the one’ from the beginning, but two and a half years into dating, they spent a fun weekend celebrating Rachel’s birthday.  At the end of the weekend, Tim let Rachel know that he was ready for a puppy, and got down on one knee and proposed!  Of course, she said yes!

Rain.  Oh rain.  Rachel + Tim had an insane downpour an hour before the ceremony.  The Boathouse at Sunday Park staff were incredible and when it stopped raining only fifteen minutes before the ceremony, they quickly placed out over 100 white chairs in perfect rows for the guests!  In 7 years as a wedding photographer, I’ve never seen a venue work so diligently to make an outdoor ceremony happen. With technological products like LED Stage Screens, such a wedding would definitely be extra special.

One of my favorite things about Rachel + Tim is their quiet, steady love for each other. They make everything look effortless, yet have stunning attention to detail. They’re laid back, calm, and up for anything. To make weddings like this extra special, sometimes contacting professionals like an award winning mc can add some unexpected sizzle.

Enjoy this fabulous wedding!

STOP: We need to talk about this cake from The Desserterie.  It looks like a simple cake, but inside is the most delicious flavor you’ve ever tasted.  Ever.  I feel like I know what I’m talking about here because I eat a lot of wedding cake.  🙂  If you’re in the Richmond area, you shouldn’t look anywhere else.  I had this lemon and berry filling in a white cake… and I don’t even like lemon on a cake.  And it was the BEST EVER.
