We like living life to the fullest
We’ve said it before, and we will keep singing its praises- The Historic Post Office in Hampton, VA is just a beautiful venue. Taylor + Josh’s intimate ceremony and reception were full of simple details of greenery and beautiful white flowers. We LOVE the unique idea of instead of a guest book, having their guests each sign a leaf on a wreath for their home. Genius!
Taylor + Josh were so fun- and had the very best friends and family with them on their big day. Before the ceremony started, one of Taylor’s friends got me aside and very sincerely and sweetly told me that her best friend better look beautiful in every photo. Of course we both knew that was an easy job because look at Taylor- she’s gorgeous! And one of Josh’s friends stayed with us the entire time we did portraits to help carry things, move things around, and generally be a great support system. It was the best!
Sidenote: During toasts, the DJ said that he got a call from some special people that weren’t able to make it but wanted to give a special toast so he was going to relay the message. Everyone looked confused, including the bride and groom. And then?? “Meow meow meow meow meow meow meow meow…” The DJ gave an entire toast on behalf of the couples beloved cats! We were all belly laughing!! Taylor + Josh dearly love their cats, and the toast was perfect comic relief!
They also chose to fill their wedding with songs from The Greatest Showman which was so fun to experience. They ended the night with one last song where they were encircled by their friends and family and it was such a special moment.
“What if we rewrite the stars?
Say you were made to be mine
Nothing could keep us apart
You’d be the one I was meant to find
It’s up to you, and it’s up to me
No one can say what we get to be
So why don’t we rewrite the stars?
Maybe the world could be ours
Tonight”
