Being the resident photographer among my friends means I get to design invitations & take pictures of gorgeous parties they put together! Let me tell you, designing invitations is not my strong point, but it’s fun to play around with. I still have a lot to learn in that area– mad props to those who do it professionally!
This was a bridal shower for a friend who also happens to be my husbands co-worker. And? Her fiance works there as well! She a paleo gal it was a brunch with (mostly) paleo food choices. I just love all the handmade details that came together to make this shower so special! We can’t wait to film her wedding in May!
Here’s my invite (certain information withheld). I played off of their wedding colors, coral & navy, and a hint of the rustic theme. I love how the centerpiece at the party was similar to the tree here!
Adorable welcome sign out front with… get this… a chalk pen! I need one of those for the chalk wall in my office! For the guest book, each person highlighted their favorite verse in the Bible as inspiration for the couple. Very sweet!Oh my goodness… what fun favors! Little edible bird nests! It’s hard to translate into pictures, but the centerpiece was gorgeous, and handmade! The gems worked so well with all the natural light in the room– it was very subtle, yet eye catching.
Paleo scones! I was excited to see all the paleo foods because Josh is going on the Whole30 diet soon & it’s very similar foods. Everything was quite tasty!
Each of these Mason jars were hand wrapped with twine… and love!
And the cake. Oh. my. goodness. It was as tasty as it was adorable!
And what’s a party without the people? I can’t tell you how easy it is to forget the camera once people start arriving. Before everyone arrives it’s easy to zip around and snap pictures, but when people get there, all anyone wants to do is talk & eat– not take pictures!
