Mariners’ Museum // Wedding // Elizabeth + Chad

I’ve said it a million times, but once again Elizabeth & Chad has a wonderfully unique wedding day.  Elizabeth was very careful in the planning process to leave room for emotional moments and it was a fantastic decision!  When it came time to put on her wedding dress, she had her bridesmaids wait in the next room.  Her mom & grandmother were the only ones present (other than me!) to put on the dress, and it made the moment very special and allowed for emotions to flow.  Afterwards, her bridesmaids got to see a big reveal of her dress and it was just so beautiful to see their reactions!

She planned the same when it came to the first moment she was Chad.  They chose to meet a few minutes before the ceremony and per their usual habit, she tied his bowtie for him.  What a sweet break from the rush & commotion of their wedding day!

And finally, when it came to their reception, they had several special dances up their sleeves!  Let’s just say that before the night was over, they were crowd surfing!

Thank you, Elizabeth & Chad, for having us at your wedding day!  It was a fantastic day & we loved capturing those memories for you!

Elizabeth and her grandmother now share the same wedding anniversary– how special is that?I couldn’t resist including this one!You know, just playing a little kickball before the wedding. This is what happens when your second shooter is a guy & is left alone for entirely too long with the groomsmen!  🙂  Just kidding.  I nearly fell out of my chair laughing when I found these shots, though! What a precious first look.  I just love these sweet moments!Technology gets a bad rep during weddings, but I thought this was awesome!!  Someone wasn’t able to attend the wedding, but was able to watch it through Facetime.  They weren’t intrusive, and didn’t get in the way of pictures or the ceremony at all.Above: this is the look of relief when the bridesmaids realize that the turtle crossing the road did not get hit by a car.  It did run pretty quick once it realized there was a car!Yes, yes, yes!  This photo (below) pretty much perfectly captures marriage.  🙂  They got married on Flag Day, so of course they had to have a flag for some pictures!Perhaps my favorite reception moment of the year!  Crowd-surfing bride & groom = awesome!
