The votes are in and we have winners for our 2014 End of Year Contest!  This has been an incredible contest and I can’t thank you enough for playing a part.  The number one way people hear about us is from a friend telling them, so we appreciate you sharing us with all your friends!

And now on to the winners!

First Place: Michael + Mikaela (Kline) Burling – in the wine cellar at Williamsburg Winery.  Man oh man, this is definitely one of our favorite pictures from this year!  And we have the pouring rain to thank for it!  We’d planned gorgeous sunset pictures in the vineyard and those came to a screeching halt when it downpoured right as their wedding finished!  But hey– that’s what back-up plans are for!
They chose a free session + digital images ($400 value) as their prize!

Second Place: Jarod Brown + Danielle Woolston   (top right, black & white)  Yet another picture taken in a quick moment!  The day of Jarod + Danielle’s engagement session, several unforeseen circumstances landed us with only 30 minutes to do a full session before sunset.  I assured them that we would get amazing pictures in that short amount of time and, well, here we are!
They chose a free 16×20 canvas for their prize!

Third Place: Justin Weston + Kayla Goodly (above, bottom right)  As one Facebook commenter wrote, “Who doesn’t want to be rescued by a fire fighter? Without the danger of a fire of course.”  Now ain’t that the truth?!
They’ll receive a free mini-session + digital files  for their prize!

I also wanted to share the runners up!  These three photos each received over 100 votes, which is really impressive!  We know they put in a lot of hard work for this contest, so to each of these families, we’re offering a free 8×10!Jesse + Katie (Barner) Marlowe – Facebook commenters mentioned a lot that this picture of the flowers and boots really captured the feel of the whole day!  We typically focus on faces and expressions in our work, so I love the wonderful feedback everyone has given us about an image without any people in it!

The Mamot Brothers – Aren’t these guys just adorable?  Their faces and expressions are just too stinkin’ cute!

Ben & Ashley (Moynihan) Hosman – Ben is sweeping her off her feet (quite literally) after jumping into the water together!  Not only is it romantic, but it’s quite a bold move for a wedding day!
