We like living life to the fullest
Living eight hours away, it’s rare that I get to photograph friends from high school; but lucky for me, Jonah + Kelly live just an hour away in Richmond! Chelsea, Jonah, and I were all 2 years apart in school and spent many a band trip together! Jonah, Kelly, and I were also all three Math Club Presidents on different years. So when his siblings and their families came to visit this time, Chelsea contacted me about putting together a photo session as a present for their parents 34th anniversary. This is the second time we’ve done this, and although it was almost 90 degrees, it was actually cooler than last time! We have a way of picking the hottest days of the year. 🙂
We had a great spot picked out by the river for photos– a place I’d been wanting to photograph for awhile! But when I arrived early that morning to scope it out, there was major construction going on. As in… if we photographed there, we might have a block of concrete hit us in the head! So we switched the session to Maymont Park, a tried and true spot for photos! We spent most of our time in the Japanese Gardens, which are gorgeous!
It’s always nerve-wracking to photograph a fellow photographer (Cheslea’s husband, Woody, is a fantastic photographer!), but everyone was so easy going and wonderful to work with; they made my job easy! Thank you guys for a fantastic session!
And because it’s fun, I thought I’d include one from last time– four years ago!
