Kayla + Nick know how to bring the party, and that was such a fun element of their wedding day!  They are truly best friends and have a great time together.  They make each other laugh, love dancing, and made every aspect of their wedding day fun for everyone.

When I first walked in, I literally gasped when I saw Kayla’s dress.  It’s stunning, and so very perfect for her.  Nick had shared with Kayla that he really wanted her make-up to look natural.  In other words… he wanted to look at his beautiful bride on their wedding day, not piles of make-up, eyelashes, and overdone hair.  I think she perfectly nailed it!  Her look was flawless, and totally looked effortless, yet classy for her wedding day.  Kayla had asked me my thoughts on fake eyelashes– would it be too much for the natural look?  I encouraged her to go with them– they can really add a lot to a look, while still looking very natural!

They opted to not do a first look, but did do a shot together, back to back, before the ceremony.  Kayla chose to do dances with both her dad and her step-dad, and Nick’s mother-son dance wasn’t your typical sappy song at all.  I love how they celebrated the important people in their lives in their own unique way.
