Leslie + Mike’s wedding was all about two things: their love and their family. They got married at the beautiful St.Vincent De Paul Catholic Church, which is the same church that Leslie’s parents were married in! As much as we love the amazing venues around Hampton Roads, there is something so special about a couple marrying in the same church as their parents. It’s like they’re carrying on a tradition of love (squeal!). Leslie’s mom is one of 13 children and all of Leslie’s aunts and uncles were there to watch her marry Mike. The importance of family and how much they meant to each other was so apparent throughout the entire evening.

Normally when it rains on a wedding day, we can use some cute see through umbrellas and fight through it for some outside shots of the bride and groom, but when we say it rained this day, we mean it poured! While we made great use of the gorgeous church for some intimate portraits, we were able to sneak outside after sunset when the rain stopped for some romantic shots of the bride and groom.

Leslie looked incredible in her satin gown. It was simple, yet glamorous, as were all the special touches they had throughout their reception at The Historic Post Office. The live band provided great music for intimate dances and late night moves (including some sweet moves from the cutest kiddo). Congratulations Leslie + Mike!
